Samoa badminton in good form

Tuesday 04 September 2007 Samoa’s badminton team were in good form yesterday at Apia Park, showing great reflex skills against Wallis and Futuna.Samoa won all of their games against the French Polynesian IslandThe Samoa women doubles Heseti Mafaufau and Ae Wilson were first to hit the court, and came through beating Wallis and Futuna 21-8, 21-8.Oliver Dihn was no match for Samoa’s men’s singles Tupu Fua, with the final score 21-10, 21-8 to Samoa.Heseti Mafaufau also showed good form in the singles, defeating Palepa Ofatuku 21-11, 21-10.Yesterday was a good day for Samoa badminton, Today however will be a whole different story as they will face the New Caledonia team.New Caledonia won yesterday during their match up with Fiji.RESULTS
Men’s singlesTupu Fua defeated Oliver Dihn 21-10, 21-08
Women’s singlesHeseti Mafaufau defeated Palepa Ofatuku 21-11, 21-08
Men’s doublesTupu Fua & Horice Jensen defeated Oliver Dinh & Justin Vaimaga 21-18, 21-14
Women’s doublesHeseti Mafaufau & Ae Wilson defeated Palepa Ofatuku & Potapu Maitre 21-08, 21-08
Mixed doublesTupu Fua & Heseti Mafaufau defeated Oliver Dihn & Palepa Ofutuku 21-09, 21-16.
